Town and Country Gun Club, Inc. is one of the finest private gun clubs in the greater St. Louis metropolitan area.  We offer a wide range of shooting activities for the entire family.  Safety equipment use is mandatory.

From Skeet Trap Shooting to Pistol and Rifle shooting distances at 7, 10, 12, 25, 50. 100, 200 snd 300 yards. TCGC also has indoor pistol shooting with member competition shoots every week.  We also feature a multiple distance archery range. 

TCGC is honored to provide the environment for many law enforcement training/qualifying shoots.  In addition, we host a nationally recognized trainer for personalized LEO training. 

TCGC is an established woodland natures preserve that prides itself on our natural environment of which we work to protect and maintain our woodlands.   

TCGC supports the BackStoppers in the greater St. Louis area and encourage others to join as well.  Toys for Tots, Maryville Food Pantry, Glen Carbon and Maryville Fire Departments and Got Your Six Support Dogs receive our generous gifts each year during the holiday season.

TCGC hosts a very popular local chapter of the nationally recognized Armed Women of America. Their monthly meetings aim to educate, equip and empower women as safe gun owners. Club members and non-club members, 18 years and older, are welcome to attend on the last Sunday of every month at 3:00 pm in the main club house. 

Since the passing of the IL concealed carry laws in July 2013, TCGC has two preferred trainers for state approved CCW classes.

IDPA shooters enjoy the use of our facilities on a weekly basis during the summer months. Members and non-members are invited to attend.

TCGC is the preferred training facility for several skeet and trap shooters that compete on the national level.

TCGC offers NRA certified Range Officers to assist our efforts to maintain a safe environment for our membership and guests.  We pride ourselves on our safety record and encourage our membership to further their training.  We also host Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) courses at our club and encourage our membership to be familiar with the emergency procedures.

TCGC is an affiliate member of the NRA and NSSF and supporter of the ISRA.

New membership applications can be turned in at STS Armory 4127 South Drive, Pontoon Beach IL 62040 (https://sts-armory.com/contact/) during normal business hours or to any executive board member. See the link below to print the application.

Acceptance into TCGC is only on the third Sunday of January. April, July and October of each year. Applications will be processed in the order they are received by the executive committee. 

To become a member of Town & Country Gun Club you must meet the following requirements:

  • Complete the membership application below.
  • Have proof of completing a Hunter Safety Education course (or equivalent).
    • Illinois DNR Hunter Education classes listed by county can be found here.
    • NRA Basic Pistol Training or equivalent
    • Illinois or Missouri CCW
  • You must be sponsored by a current member of the club.
    • If you don't know a current member of the club that will sponsor you, you can talk to current members about a possible sponsorship.  
  • Illinois residents must have a valid Firearm Owner's Identification (FOID) card.
  • Applicants must present a state-issued drivers license or identification card when submitting their application for consideration to the club.
  • Membership application must be presented in person to an Executive Committee member.
    • Applicant must present valid identification, proof of Hunter Safety Education or equivalent, FOID card (IL residents only), and NRA membership card at this time.
    • The initiation fee is $225.00. $50.00 (non-refundable) will be collected when the application is presented to an executive board member. Payment due upon acceptance for membership at the membership meeting: $175.00 ($100.00 first year dues and $75.00 remainder of initiation fee).
  • Effective 7-1-2011, all new members must have and maintain an active membership in the NRA, ISRA, 2nd Amendment Foundation or Gun Owners of America.

Applicants will be notified by the board as to when their application will be considered during a general membership meeting. The applicant is expected to attend the general membership meeting at which their application is to be considered. If the applicant is not present when their application is up for consideration they will not be considered for membership and their application will be void.
